Watch Juanes Perform ‘La Luz’ On Jimmy Fallon

Fans have been eagerly waiting for Juanes to release his album “Loco de Amor” and Tuesday he let them have what they want and topped it all off with a performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

In his new album, the 41-year-old Columbian superstar takes on a new sound, leaving the electric guitar behind in favor of a more acoustic tone. The idea for an all acoustic guitar album came from producer Steve Lillywhite who convinced Juanes to experiment with a more natural sound. Steve has worked with rock legends including The Rolling Stones, U2 and The Killers and did a great job at helping Juanes diversify his sound on the album while keeping it distinctly “Colombian.”

“Colombian music is in my blood, in my DNA,” Juanes told Billboard about his new music. “It’s the music I’ve heard since I was a child — it’s impossible to avoid.”

After releasing the album, Juanes performed “La Luz” on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, which marked the shows’ first Latin music performance since it’s launch.
