Boricua Comedian Luis Raul Martinez Dies At 51

Puerto Rican comedian and actor Luis Raul Martinez died on Sunday after a fight with complications from pneumonia that he had been dealing with since mid-January.

The TV host, actor and comedian who was know for his stand-up routines has been such a big influence on the island of Puerto Rico that Gov. Alejandro Garcia Padilla is honoring him by ordering flags on public buildings to be flown at half-staff for three days.

But it is not just the government who is honoring Martinez, celebrities from far and wide took to twitter and honored him in tweets. “Very sadden by the news. Very Sad, Luis Paul, fly high brother. R.I.P,” Ricky Martin tweeted. “My condolences to the family of my great friend, recently passed LUIS Raul.. thank for making us laugh for so many years.. today we cry your departure.” Don Omar followed up.

Luis was 51-years old and died in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
